Do you know any users who left the site after the HF? I wouldn't judge them too harshly if they left because of the rewards. Ask yourself would you want to spend hours editing a video only to have to fight to get the payout past the dust threshhold? Which is why we need a certain tag for quality content like travel feed for instance. If there aren't many users buying/selling Steem that could keep the price low.
