Do you think it is okay for a user to upvote their own posts?

  • Some would say that every user has brought value to Hive by investing in Hive Power (and HIVE and HBD), and therefore deserves to upvote their own posts to get a share of the rewards pool.
  • Some would say that Hive is a democracy, and everyone is free to choose what to do with their account for as long as they don't intentionally cause harm to other people.
  • Some would say that users who upvote their own posts are selfish, because they want to allocate the rewards for themselves, instead of waiting for upvotes for good posts.
  • Some might have other opinions regarding this matter that does not exclusively belong to one of the three choices above.
