The card is headlined by Alex Pereira defending his middleweight title against Israel Adesanya .
They meet for the fourth time. The first two encounters happened 2016 and 2017 in the Glory of Heroes series of kickboxing events.
It always looked good for Israel – until it didn’t. The first loss in 2016 was by decision (and should have been a win). The second loss was by KO but he was the better fighter until then.
At their third meeting and first MMA fight, he lost via TKO in the fifth round. Same story. He looked better until it ended badly for him.

Both are the same height, but Pereira’s is very deceptive. He is an enormously large and strong human. Their weight class is 185 pounds. Alex will most likely weigh more than 215 pounds when the fight starts. He could easily be a light-heavyweight or even a heavyweight. Because of his large frame, he started his weight cutting process weeks before the match.
Israel has more experience, especially in MMA and is younger. Pereira is still mostly a standup fighter but has been training at Glover Teixeira’s gym since 2020 – a master of the grappling game. His strength and size alone helps him to defend takedowns attempts from Adesanya.
