Do you know who Jerry Banfield is? I knew of him before STEEM, and have connections to him on a number of platforms.

Jerry was the person who got me to come in here and try STEEM. He joined in summer 2017 and brought about 10000 minnows out of his followers, and brought $60K of his own money here to invest.

I was already using Jerry’s yt videos to learn how to make online courses, and he started making daily videos all about his excitement for this place. When he showed how he had invested his own money, I decided to jump, and the rest is history.

Then, as I have seen him do in a few places, Jerry banged around like a bull in a china shop, made some powerful STEEM enemies and got driven off from trying to be an influencer here.

In January 2018, Jerry was one of the first to offer a paying bid bot service and ran that for 18 months. He used the blacklisting we have and ran a clean shop. I stopped using bid bots a few months after they started, but I did not see complaints from our high-powered complainers.
