What?? SPUD 7 already? Why would I dPoll about SPUD 7 on October 9 when it is not coming until November 1?

If you do not know what SPUD is, here is the general idea. On each first of the month, many STEEMers power up together and some try for prizes offered by the generous people listed above. You can take a look at the posts on @streetstyle’s blog to see more details.

Since I have been in a few SPUDs now, I realize the sooner I start thinking about it the better. If I only start a week ahead of the first of the month, I will not have any STEEM to SPUD with.

I did this planning last month and for the first time got into the top 20 and won some SBI shares. This gives me more reason to start early again.

Now each time I claim my STEEM rewards I am taking some part of that STEEM and putting it into my STEEM savings. You have this savings place too in a separate section of your wallet.

If I get good post rewards that day I put more STEEM in savings. With a bad day I put less, but even if I put 0.10 STEEM in savings it is better than nothing.

So far I have 11 STEEM in savings. My goal is to have 64 STEEM by the time November 1 rolls around. This will be twice what I put in for the last SPUD, so I think it is is good goal. If I do not make it, at least I tried.

Remember:

If you put STEEM in savings, you need to initiate a transfer of the money back to your regular wallet around Oct 28 - It takes three days to get to where you can use it to power up for SPUD.

I will look at my progress each week to see if I am on track.
