Thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands of young people have been protesting in Hong Kong for weeks for their freedom, to keep their (relative) independence from China, against an “extradition bill” and police brutality, demanding the governor’s resignation. The airport was invaded on Monday this week, and traffic was suspended or stalled for two days. They left the airport on Tuesday evening after a police attack. Reuters on CNBC wrote today about the airport, “workers scrubbed it clean of blood and debris from overnight”.
Hong Kong has become a topic of world politics, also Donald Trump and the UN have spoken. China is said to have commanded military units near the border.
Who are this the Hong Kong protesters?
