What should be the purpose of education?

Hi friends!

Education is the basic human needs. We are humans because we get education. Whether formally or informally we need education to be a good human being. But, for most of the people it is the medium of getting jobs only. They become educate in order to secure high profile jobs.

In my view education should have wide impact on our life. It should be taken in order to become a better and knowlegeable person. What is your opinion on this matter?
