DPoll: Do You Own Your Home?

Howdy folks! I am currently shopping around for a new house. Home buying can be stressful. Many people choose to rent because it gives them flexibility when moving to a different location and it also comes with less responsibility. For me, the problem with renting is you are essentially throwing money away. When you are done and it's time to move, you have nothing to sell. Your monthly payments went to pay the landlords mortgage (or his leisure) and now it's time to move on. I would much rather buy a piece of property knowing that in the end I will have land that I can sell or rent out to others. How about you?
