Is using Share2steem to share someone elses post via Twitter and earning rewards from it slightly scummy behaviour or is it just a way to monetise a resteem?

I've noticed a number of posts recently where a user has advertised another users post by tweeting the link and using share2steem to post it onto their own blog, a little like doing a resteem, but obviously resteems don't earn anything and the share2steem post does.

So I'm interested in the ethics of this. Do you think its quite acceptable or do you think its a bit spammy ?

I look forward to the @dpoll collective's opinions so thanks in advance :-)
