Welcome to the inaugural post of Dungeons & Dragons & Dummies! This is an interactive comic in which you, YES YOU, determine how the story unfolds! Each week, a new "page" of the comic is posted. How the story progresses, what the characters do, and the adventures that take place, are all based upon the previous weeks' poll. As a Steem user, you have direct impact on the story! Just read & vote!

In this inaugural post, you must decide who the main character of this story will be.

Choose the class, the alignment, and the proficiency.

Each of these characteristics will help shape our character and lay the premise of how they will act [ and what choices will be available ] in the story to come!

What Shall Be The Class?

> Determines the stats of the character, as well as plays a role in their background, which may unlock or hinder certain choices in the future.

SAVAGE WIZARD ELF
high health, strong attack, poor intelligence, intimates foes low health, low attack, high intelligence, knows magic decent health, ok attack, fair intelligence, strong sense of awareness

Savages roam the wild-lands in search for violence. They like a good fight, but anything requiring logic stumps them. Also, they love ale. Wizards tend to be quite reclusive and lonesome. When in battle, they prefer to keep back and cast spells. They are quite skilled with the magical arts. Elves live in nature-heavy environments and, as such, know their way around forests, animals, and some medicinal herbs.

What Shall Be The Alignment?

> A character's alignment will play a role in how the character parses the current situation. This mindset will sway their choices and how committed they are to certain events.

GOOD characters focus on always doing the right thing. Their go to instincts tell them to seek fairness & justice above all else, always provide a helping hand to others, and never cheat to get ahead. NEUTRAL characters tend to stay out of drama, whether that means not committing crimes, or allowing one to go on without them stopping it. While they don't necessarily seek out bad behavior, they will do what needs to be done in order to keep themselves safe. CHAOTIC characters usually only have one thought in their head: I wonder how much more fun this situation would be if I set it on fire. They are reckless with their morals, and find pleasure in causing the most amount of havoc possible.

What Shall Be The Proficiency?

> Proficiencies define what the character excels in. These basic traits, listed below, will determine how skilled the character accomplishes certain tasks in the story. They may also play a role in what choices are made available, to cater towards the characters natural skill set.

ANIMAL HANDLING LOCK & TRAP PICKING STRONG STOMACH
You're great with most animals, and can almost speak their language. Whether you need to call a pooch to sit by your feet, or hitch a ride on top of a Minotaur, you seem to be quite skilled at getting animals to obey to your commands. Lock in your way? PICK IT! Trap blocking your path? BREAK IT! You're a skilled engineer and can figure out how most of these contraptions operate, and are skilled at deconstructing them. Over the years of trying exotic foods, your belly has developed a unique blend of gut-flora which allows you to stomach most things you shove into your gullet, even if they aren't necessarily "edible". Poisons and other food-oddities don't effect you as much as others!
