Today (2019.09.22) a discussion emerged between me and @momzillanc about the usage of the "terrific" word.
She says that the "Terrific is always good. Terrible is bad."
But many Hungarian dictionaries (and even some English dictionaries) are mentioning that the "terrific" word also has bad (negative) meanings. And some of the dictionaries even mentioning "terrible" as a synonym of terrific.
I wonder what the community think about this topic.
What do you think and how do you use the "terrific" word? Do you think that the "terrific" word has good (positive) or bad (negative) meanings, or both?
I use the "terrific" word both with good (positive) and bad (negative) meanings.
